The XDQY Automatic Sausage Hanging Line with Casing Traction Unit is an auxiliary filling device that provides constant-speed casing traction during the filling cycle and automatic hanging of filled sausage links — without an integrated string-tying or twist-linking function. At 0.8 kW total power and 200 kg machine weight, it represents the lowest-infrastructure entry point into automated sausage hanging in our production line range, and is designed specifically for small and medium-sized meat processing operations and facilities running multiple product types per shift.
As an auxiliary device, the XDQY works alongside any existing vacuum or piston filling machine by providing controlled back-pressure during filling and collecting the filled product for automatic hanging. Facilities that already operate standalone filling machines can add the XDQY as a downstream addition without replacing or modifying their filling equipment — a significantly lower investment than a complete turnkey line.
Casing Traction: The Engineering Principle Behind Filling Density Consistency
Filling density inconsistency — variation in product weight and texture between the first and last portions from a single casing sleeve — is one of the most common quality problems in sausage production facilities that use standalone filling machines without downstream traction control. The cause is straightforward: as product accumulates inside the casing, the weight of the filled section reduces the back-pressure the casing exerts on the filling nozzle. The filling machine, operating at constant speed, overfills the later portions of the casing sleeve when this back-pressure drops.
The XDQY traction unit counteracts this by applying a controlled counter-tension to the casing that is held constant throughout the fill stroke at the set traction speed (0–2.3 m/s). The operator sets the traction speed to match the filling machine’s output rate, establishing a consistent back-pressure from the first portion to the last. The XDQY is fitted with an automatic casing cutoff unit that continuously monitors the casing structure during production. The detection unit identifies abnormal conditions — the end of a casing sleeve before the operator has replaced it, an over-stretched section, or a structural fault in the casing material — and triggers an automatic response to prevent uneven filling or excess material output past the casing end.
